The year comes to an end. And with this our attempt to have date days every month. Did we manage a date monthly. No. We went on six cool date dates. I loved every single one. So my goal of shaping relationships in 2024 was definitely successful.

Best Date Day in 2024

Thinking back on all the date days I think the horserace day was my most favorite because it was a totally new experience. We made an effort to dress up, we planned our outfits. It was a whole day. And it was sunny and warm but not too warm. We tried our hand in betting.

But I also enjoyed the dinner at Schnitzelei on the April date or the stroll around peacock island in October. But the corn dog during our food hopping tour was also so good.

The Husband says he loved the cinema date because we haven’t been to the cinemas in ages. He also enjoyed Peacock island a lot and said it was a cool date. But overall he he says he really enjoyed them all and and every one had a favorite moment.

Date Day Outfit November 2024

Date Day November – Stay at Home Date

I never wrote a review.

The gist: we stayed at home, order food (twice because I put the styrofoam container in the oven to keep it warm and melted not only the food but the oven which took three days to clean… sigh), watched a movie – Wolverine and Deadpool, played some song pop party and then we went shopping for my Christmas present (read I got to try on things the husband already ordered). It is something I wished for and he didn’t even read it. He knows me that good.

Money Spend on Date Days

Date Day March – Futurium, dinner, movie

Tickets: free + 33,80 € | Parking: 10€ | Food: 50 € | Total: 93,80 €

Date Day April – museum, dinner

Tickets: 20 € | Parking: 10,58€ | Food: 90 € | Total: 120,58 €

Date Day May – food hopping

Food: 90 € | Total: 90€

Date Day June – horse racing

Tickets: 74,10€ | Parking: 5€ | Food: 40 € | Total: 119,10€

Date Day October – Peacock Island, dinner

Tickets: 12€ | Parking: 0€ | Food: 72 € | Total: 84€

Date Day November – Stay at Home Date

Food: 80 € | Total: 80€

Prices are at times estimates specially the food and parking since I didn’t keep track of that and estimated.

Overall total investment into the dates 587,48€ – and every penny was well spend. I regret nothing.

I think it is save to say that introducing date days this year was a really good decision. And I will definitely keep them in 2025 and hope the husband is on board. Maybe we don’t need to do elaborated dates all the time. Maybe just a movie. Just a dinner at some new place. Just a bike ride. Maybe we count double dates too ( then the Christmas tree cutting and the fancy dinner with our friends would count.)

Now tell me: Did you go on a date in 2024? Do you plan regular dates? What was the best date you ever went on? And any worst dates to share? What is your favorite outfit I wore on a date?

I love this! Dates are something I feel are important for partners but strangely difficult to carry out. I have been one two dates with my husband this month, but before that… I can’t really remember. Usually our dates happen when the kid is at a birthday party.

I agree it is so hard to do. It’s just so easy to stay home and watch a movie but it’s not the same.
Glad you managed to do some dates this past month.

I love that you do these dates! I especially love the horse racing one because you dressed up, but they are all wonderful. LOL that you melted your dinner, sorry that it took 3 days to clean your oven.

That melted dinner was no fun. It stunk bad too. And it was just very stupid.
The horse racing was really fun. I have a similar idea for 2025.

I love this, Tobia! Especially seeing the photos of your date outfits. The horse racing dress is especially classy. I also love the red top and pants. Red is your color!

Haha my mom always says red is my color and for many years it was all red in my closet until I had my burnout and depression. Then it all shifted to blues. Which is interesting on a whole other level. I am slowly reintroducing red. The husband is not a fan of red though.
The horse racing was so so much fun.

Great post/ideas for dates Tobia. The top photo is great for theme “pair” btw. Love the Pretty Woman feel of the Horse race date outfit!

I guess that would be a pair photo. Good thinking.
I haven’t seen pretty women in ages so I can’t recall the outfit. Need to google.
