This is a fun little post series that has been around for a long time on the blogosphere. Lately Elisabeth has revived it, Kyria created a fun spin-off and I thought I jump on the band wagon. Short and sweet. Let’s go.

Never Have I Ever…

  1. Smoked a cigarette. Or done drugs – and proud.
  2. Not voted – I take my democratic duties very seriously.
  3. Been inside a mosque – will forever want to be inside the Dome of Rock.
  4. Bungee jumped. Or skydived – Nope. No interest. Ever.
  5. Been to Disneyland – not planning either. Didn’t grow up with Disney.
  6. Gone on a Blind Date. Or used a dating app. Not even signed up to one – I am lucky I found my person early on.
  7. Gotten a tattoo – but have tattooed someone.
  8. Bought a car – only ever leased or was provided one by my job.
  9. Done Decoupage – you would think I had tried that technique with all my creative endeavors. But no.
  10. Been an extra in a movie – unless social media posts count. Then you can see me here and here and here.
  11. Watched Sex in the City – I had to watch one episode during a long bus travel and I hated it.
  12. Run more than 800 meters in one stretch – gimme 10 sprints of 100 meter and I am fine but everything over 200 meters in one stretch kills me.
  13. Taken a cruise vacation – but I want to one day do a Hurtigruten cruise. (I am not counting the Mystery River Cruise I was working at.)
  14. Been drunk drunk – I have been tipsy. And I had a drink too many but usually I drink as much water as I drink alcohol so I always know what I am doing. I never want to feel I am not in control.
  15. Gone diving – and I am not really interested in it. I have a feeling I would not feel comfortable at it. I did scuba dive in the Red Sea though.

Have you done one of these posts? Anything that surprised you here? Should I tell you more about a thing? What is one thing you haven’t done but everyone else has?

This is list #1 in my “Do a 50 lists blog project” from my 101 in 1001 days goal list.

I love these kinds of posts!
I have never smoked a cigarette or done drugs. My grandma was a smoker when I was a kid. One day, she was babysitting me, and she went to the bathroom, leaving her cigarette burning in the ashtray. When she came out, I was holding the cigarette, about to test it out! She got me just in time, and after that, she quit smoking.
I have never been inside a mosque, bungee jumped, or skydived.
I have been to Tokyo Disneyland. My Japanese friend took us when we went to visit. It was fun!
I have also been to Disney World in Florida, and I loved Epcot. The fireworks were amazing.
I haven’t been on a blind date, or used a dating app, gotten or given a tattoo. I’m very curious about the tattoo you gave to someone!
My husband and I have bought vehicles, but I haven’t purchased one on my own.
I have done decoupage. I’m so surprised that you haven’t!
I have not been an extra in a movie, watched Sex and the City, or been on a cruise. I don’t run. Ever.
I have never gone diving or scuba diving.
I got very drunk once in college. Once was enough. I hardly ever drank after that. It’s not like I completely refuse alcohol, but it just doesn’t do much for me. If I went on a wine tasting tour, I would have sips. When we went to a professional baseball game, I had a beer and a hot dog. If someone were serving wine at a dinner party, I’d have a little.

Oh, these posts are always fun… I’ve also not smoked a cigarette or done drugs. I also rarely drink alcohol and have not been drunk ever.

I am surprised that you didn’t like Sex and the City. I have to ask: did you have to endure an episode that was dubbed in German? Because in that case, I’d understand… the dubbed version is awful and I would have never watched the whole series in German. It’s much better in English, IMHO.

It was definitely dumbed. I hate SJP voice. It’s such a high pitch voice.
I am surprised you watched. HA!

I have only ever had a couple of puffs of a cigarette (not good) and no drugs. I’ve been to Disneyland, once with my parents and once with my kids. I have technically bought a car (I always am the owner of our cars) but G usually does everything to do with it and I just sign the papers because I am not that interested. You know I’ve run more than 800m, and I went on a cruise of the Greek Islands with my parents when I was ten. I have been drunk, drunk many times while I was a uni, and I did a short scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
Everything else I have not done. I’ve always voted because we have compulsory voting. I was married before online dating and apps were a thing, but the whole scene sounds awful.

These are always fun, although I never know whether to do the same in the comment or do my own post. I will split the difference. I tried to smoke a cigarette a couple of times – can’t remember why, but I was weak-willed and impressionable. I hated it. I have tried marijuana multiple times, mostly to see if it’s helpful for pain and sleep (but not only) – I can’t quite seem to hit the sweet spot, so it hasn’t become a habit.
Tattooed someone? Do tell. I got a tattoo with my son, and if my daughter wanted to I would get one with her too – we have one we both want to get, she just can’t decide if she’s up for it yet.
I can give myself a panic attack just thinking about scuba diving too much, so that’s not happening. I snorkeled in Mexico. I am nearly blind without glasses and have never found good goggles, so I’m uneasy trying to see underwater at any time.
