After I photographed every month in 2024 I wanted to do continue the practice. I picked a more exciting spot this year with the view over the Havel river. Interestingly enough I managed not one photo with a boat. And we have regular inland shipping lines going by and in the summer so so many leisure boats. But apparently I never hit the spot at the time a boat passed by. But nature elevating before my eyes even without boats.
So without further ado enjoy the journey through seasons.

This was a lovely project and a few days it pushed me outside because I needed tp snatch the photo. One of these nights I went with the husband and we stood on top the river and suddenly heard a smacking, slurping sound. It was the beavers munching on the water lilies. It was so quiet besides their eating noises.
What’s your favorite months from these photos? Have you ever taken a photo from the same spot for multiple times? Have you managed to take family pictures over the years? Do you re-enact photos?

June is my favorite. The perfect time of year and the perfect time of day!
What a fun project. I always think I’ll do something similar, but never do. Maybe this is the year!
You never know – maybe 2026 is just that year.
June was a nice Moment with the sun setting
Oh, I love this, Tobia. I always wanted to do something like this. It’s so cool to see the same spot from the same vantage point through the seasons! I think February – with the snow – is my favorite :)
It’s my favorite too. Right now the river is covered by a small sheet of ice. And the winterlicht is great.
Maybe you could do it with the American River? You often post that view from the bridge. Or start small and do you patio. It’s interesting to see those spots.
I love this project and would like to do something similar. I did do my garden one to track the growth in my garden in its first year. I love the February photobecause of the combination of snow and blue sky, plus December with its blue sky and smooth water.
I would love to see your garden through the seasons. Would be fun. Maybe just one bush. But also the beach or something. You live in such beautiful spot.
The December photo is actually a sheet of ice. Very thin though.
August, because of the green on the water.
I want to do this too, was it hard to pick the spot and decide?
It was the second year. The first ones used a spot I could photograph without leaving the house. That helped to make it easy. This spot is 5 min from my home. I would make sure it’s very easy to get to. Maybe on your way of regular routes.
Oh wow, this is a wonderful project, Tobia! How can I pick a favorite? They’re all so wonderful! These photos would make such a great calendar! I’ve never tried anything like this, but now I want to.
I would love to see your farm change through the seasons. During the cool bloggers walking club you had that one dirt road with trees and a fence. That would be a cool spot to see change.
I usually make a calendar for my parents but didn’t take any photos. Just in the 23rd i realized i could have used this project.
I love them all. There is a distinct difference each month and really showcases the changing of the seasons.
I was inspired by your collection of photos in 2024 and did my own for 2025. They didn’t turn out quite like I had hoped or expected, and I was definitely not as dedicated as you with taking the pics the same day each month. I want to try it again this year, and I was also considering a new spot, but then also wanted to try from my back deck again only be more conscious of my focal point. I’m not sure which direction I will be going, but I do know I won’t be trying to do it the 2nd of the month again. I was always forgetting.
I anchored it to my Coffee Date post every 15th of the month which helped. I think I forgot to take the image ones and went to do it a day later or so and in December I totally forgot.
Hope you can find a way it works for you. I’d love to see your photos. You have a special eye so I am not sure if you are too harsh on your assumption they didnt turn out good.
