I don’t find enough time to create lately. I wish I would but I don’t. In order to fill my heart I looked at Pinterest and gathered 5 Pinterest ideas I want to try if I had time right now.
1. DIY Minimalist Christmas Tree
Look at this.
So simple and elegant and easy to make. I wonder if that would be a nice gift for a friend of mine. Or maybe the husband likes this too. Definitely something I would like to make.
It would be a wonderful project to do with my dad. Maybe I should plan a craft weekend next year to do it. That’s an idea.
2. White Pinecones to impress
I have all the materials for this DIY. For years. I actually moved house twice with it. Sigh. And yet it’s not been done. I always want to do it when at the country house but I run out of time. It needs dry clean pine cones.
At my home in Berlin believe it or not I don’t have a bucket or glass container to do it. It’s the small stuff you know.
3. Cozy Christmas Bulbs for Touching
I want to hold them and pet them.
I have no idea how to make these. I assume it’s crochet and I have only ever done that as a kid. So I wouldn’t even know where to start. But look at these … I mean what’s not to love here.
Only concern here is that with my real candles it needs extra caution.
4. Snowflakes for the win
In love.
Finally a good usage of this craft. I loved doing it as a kid and I am sure my parents and everyone around me was sick of getting these coasters.
But this modern interpretations. Genius. I refuse to buy the plates though. I need to borrow them somewhere.
5. Icy Cool Decoration for the Garden
Still a favorite.
This is something I want to try. I actually had planned something similar for my winter wedding some 10+ years ago but it wasn’t cold enough. It would be fun to have that in the garden for Christmas.
I could share a ton more. Just check out my never ending Pinterest boards.
Which of these would you like to do? And if you believe you are not crafty which one would you enjoy receiving? Do you school instagram when you want to be creative but have no time?

These are all great. I think the white pinecones are my favorite.
I love those. One day I’m gonna do this.
These are so pretty! I am very intrigued by the minimalist Christmas tree. I love its simplicity!
I do too. So elegant.
I love the icy wreath and the snowflakes. I have tons of Perler beads and plates tucked away somewhere. I bought them for something to do with my grandson, and my nieces and nephews when they were little. I am still hanging on to them because now I have three little grandbabies that will eventually be old enough to do this with. I love the idea of the snowflakes and hanging them from fishing line in front of the window at different lengths. Wouldn’t that be so pretty?
I can crochet and those ornaments are gorgeous. It looks like mohair or something. But so soft and inviting.
I’ll be checking out your Pinterest board next, you can be sure of that.
Oh lucky you holding on to them. I hope you have some fun craft time coming up with your grandsons. Maybe the ice thing is something you can already do this winter.
Hope you enjoyed my ever filling Pinterest board.
All of those just gave a lift to my spirits. I like the frozen ring. It’s hanging on a birch tree and those are my favorite, too. They remind me of Russia.
I love birch trees too. There is a company here in Germany that brings traditional Siberian birch crafts to market. They are called Moya https://moya-birchbark.com. I love the behind the scenes when they are in Siberia showing the elders do it.
These are all so pretty! I can’t do the icy wreath (for obvious reasons) and some of them seem too hard for me- although I love the minimalist Christmas tree. I could do the pinecones!
Are there pine trees in Florida? I am just wondering as I would have not pictured them there. I mean you can always buy pine cones…
Those are great craft ideas, Tobia. I really like the white pinecones and the minimalist Christmas tree.
They are amazing, right?
I wish I had time to get to craft but it’s not looking great these days.
Loved the minimalist Christmas tree the best!
Thanks. I do love that one too.
These are all so pretty! I really love the minimalist tree and the white pinecones. And the ice ornament too – but it’s been too warm here so far. I am following your Pinterest!
Oh I have to follow you back on Pinterest I bet you have wonderful things pinned.
Maybe Montana winters will be cold and you can do the ice wreath. I’d love to see it.
One day I will do the minimal tree. I think I will plan a day in the workshop with dead for next year. It would be so fun to go craft something together. It’s been a while we did that.
I like the white pinecones the best. I do not do much crafting these days, but I do love to sew. I taught the little girls how to make soft sculpture and we’ve done ornaments by glossing over photos on pieces of log (tiny ones). They would probably like to try stuff like this. I don’t have the time. They do a lot of bracelet making in the basement. I think we should find a hobby like crocheting for Kay.
Oh I love beads and pearls and bracelet making. One can spend hours with it.
You are so good in sewing so I bet you come up with creations all the time.
Ornament making sounds great. I have never done these kinds of crafts but my blog friends from germany have published book on it. So I would know who to consult.
We have multiple crocheted ornaments on our tree, made by G’s Aunty. I love those crocheted balls and the pine cones.
Those fluffy balls are fun. I wish I knew how to do it.
