It is the first of August and I am sitting down to gather my thoughts. It is heavily raining outside after a heavy thunder storm during the night. I like the calming sound of the rain in the tree leaves. The last week was tough and I feel like the entire July was tough too. Didn’t I say that about June also? But, I am sure there was curiosity in July as well.. I just need too look closely and recap a few moments that would otherwise be fleeting. So here is Curious July.
I satisfied my curious mind by
- reading again. I could have read more but work got in the way. Very happy.
- having a wonderful co-working session. Twice.
I satisfied my curious life by
I truly can’t come up with a single thing for July. This is sad…
I satisfied my curious connections by
- attending a friends birthday BBQ. This was fun to catch up.
- gathering for a dinner with my entire family, the sister who his not living in Berlin and her family as well as my sisters with the new born. This was so good.
- having a lunch date with my new found friend.
- FaceTiming my friend because we couldn’t meet in person.
- meeting our friends and learning that their injured child (I briefly mentioned it here) is well and released from rehabilitation facility and it looks like he can resume school and everything.
- meeting my old colleague in Hamburg.
- having a Teams Call with an old colleague and learning she is pregnant. We both crafted while we chatted. So fun.
I tickled my curious soul by
- folding a hundred tiny Fröbel Stars and coming up with a giant one. More to come.
- watching my garden grow. And harvesting things to add to meals.
- lightning a
I curiously continued my health journey by
- continuing the golfing journey. But not as much as I would have liked.
- making an appointment for general check-up. It is schedule for early September.
- making an appointment for my gynecologist. Scheduled in October.
- sleeping well and long – not all the time but often enough that I am still wondering where that change comes from.
Lets be completely honest though… I didn’t do a great job when it comes to my health journey. Since the Arctic I gained so much weight. I am back eating candy daily.
I was most curious about
- airplanes overhead. I downloaded a flight radar app after we had a helicopter circle our neighborhood for hours (very exaggerated). Ever since I check every flight I see. It is interesting for some reason.
I did one new thing
- swam with my swim buoy I was gifted last year for my birthday. Felt instantly saver and more professional.
I managed to check off a few not so curious things
- selling a few more things online and also uploading a few more items to sell.
- airing out the bedding in the sun and also washing some pillow cases as well as spraying some odor eliminator onto the fabric parts of our bed. How else to clean that?
- deep cleaning the sink and it was almost spotless with no more calcifications.
- decalcify the water kettle.
The constant happiness is curiosity.
