How is it that there are only two more months left in this year? I have not done all the living I had planned for 2026 and I fear it is not going to happen in the next weeks. Sigh. When did life become so task-oriented and just keeping things going? Anyways, I don’t want to complain because I had a lot of happy moments last month. A curious October indeed so let’s look back and see what happened.
I satisfied my curious mind by
- reading. This was one of my better reading months this year. Aka I needed escapism.
- listening to some AI stuff in the community.
- lots of podcasts, webinars and conversations – I am in my input phase as I call it.
I satisfied my curious life by
- climbing a church tower and looked over the night sky and serving some homemade Christmas liquor.
- attending another photo shoot in the surgery ward watching the robotic surgery. One I had a few years ago that was a bit weird to see being awake.
I satisfied my curious connections by
- weekend with my best friend at the country home. Do you want a recap?
- weekend with my parents at the country home and mostly workshop time with dad. Made a tiny video.
- lunch with my newish friend.
- unplanned breakfast date with the husband after we crossed off some embassy stuff.
- impromptu meet-up with my sister and the tiny niece. Cute photo was made of me and her. Can’t share it but it’s great situational love stuff.
I tickled my curious soul by
- Watching a movie without a break, no second screen and no crafting.
- bike rides along the river for lunch.
- more star folding.
I curiously continued my health journey by
- going to my annual gyn check-up.
- managing to continue my fit challenge hosted by my health provider.
- almost completing the CBWC every day. I think I missed a few but I am ok.
- sleping better and longer.
I was most curious about
- fighting – joined a business book club about fighting and conflict in groups.
I did one new thing
- going to the Dominican Embassy in Berlin.
I managed to check off a few not so curious things
- sweeping the terrace and cleaning the pots of dead leaves and plants.
- cleaning out the cutlery drawer after I spilled some tomato sauce – needed to be done for a while
- cleaning out the pantry drawer when I spotted some food moth. Sigh.
- doing a pit of survival prep as it is becoming rather obvious the government is preparing us for it.
Be curious. Read widely. Try new things.

What people call intelligence just boils down to curiosity.

I will tickle my curious mind by
…reading some fairy tales.
…checking out the free Claude AI course.
I will tickle my curious life by
…trying a new recipe.
I will tickle curious connections by
…joining NaBLoPoMo and trying to comment as much as possible.
I will curiously continue my health journey by
…doing a follow up examination at the gyn.
…getting flue shot and the second TBE shot.
…completing the health provider challenge.
…trying to squeeze in one yoga session a week.
…no sugar this month.
I will tickle my curious soul by
…being open for my word of the year to start showing up.
…consciously breathing in fall air.
I am going to be curious about
…new blogs and trying to read lots of posts.
I will commit to the following not so curious things
…doing some necessary deep cleaning in the kitchen. And in general in the home. I want to start into the season fresh and not overwhelmed.
…selling more stuff on eBay or getting rid of things.
…doing my taxes. For 2025. And I am late with VAT tax returns. Two months. Sigh.
…looking into my financials and subscriptions and insurance.
