I am a little late getting this post up. The blame is my migraine that knocked me out and once I was on my feet again I needed to get some work done before another migraine attack hits. But here I am it’s close to midnight. It is still extremely hot outside and I just sucked on a lemon popsicle (some Californian brand the husband discovered in the supermarket) that was amazing. Now I am all chilled to do a little reflecting and goal setting.
How I incorporated my word ELEVATE in June
I elevated my soul by
- taking it slow even though I wanted something else.
- dancing at the hospital summer party.
- enjoying a few days of hour summer vacation – the rest was more work than play.
- laughing.
- meditating 7 times.
- discovering wild cherry plums – almost ripe.
- taking myself to the art museum.
I elevated my creativity by
- starting to sew my maxi skirt.
- making one quote card – and probably admitting this years 100day project was not a successful one. Sigh.
- watching a course on Creative Life about self confidence by Mel Robbins.
I elevated my hobbies by
- writing 9 blog posts.
- reading. Not my RatW novels though. But a lot of other books.
I elevated my physical appearance and fitness by
- started doing jump ropes. I love it but I need better condition. And maybe a better jumping rope?
- doing yoga 7 times
- joined 4 Zumba classes. One with a mean migraine which was maybe not the smartest idea.
- lifting weights 7 times.
- closing my apple rings 7 times.
- walking over 10.000 steps/day on 7 days, total of 150.5km and an average of 7.211 daily steps (97.3% of goal).
I elevated my health by
- doing another night in the sleep clinic and being a proud (?) owner of a APAP machine.
- managed a few sugar free days but man its hard.
- going to the farmers market and splurged on fresh goodies.
- sleeping over 7 hours on eight nights (not all in one stretch though… baby steps.)
I elevated my relationships by
- celebrating my birthday with my best friend (brunch) and family (dinner)
- celebrating the husbands birthday.
- sending one letter to my godchild.
- leaving 127 blog comments.
I elevated my home by
- finishing the terrace – almost.
- buying lots of plants.
- ordering window shades for the bathrooms.
- having a wasp nest removed (only to discover a bigger one. Sigh)
- fighting the ants on the terrace.
- going to the recycling yard twice to drop of stuff.
- selling one thing on ebay.
- cleaning all the windows. Can I please get some applause. The window robot did a decent job. It’s not perfect but better than before.
- tidying up my desk you guys. And it stayed clean for almost two weeks. It accumulates stuff again. Sigh.
- putting away the Christmas tree stand. And taking down the easter decorations.
I elevated my style by
- Wearing old clothes I fit in again.
- buying a new red shirt which I wanted to have in my wardrobe since last year.
- giving myself a birthday manicure.
