What better way to release the old year into the wild with naming 100 things that elevated my year. 2025 you have been a tough one. A rising one. Not because a lot of terrible things happened to me but because so many small things accumulated and drained a lot of energy from me. Adding all the world’s sorrow and chaos it was not helpful. And that is exactly why it is and was so important to scribble down the small things. The things that elevated this year. the things that would have otherwise fell through the cracks. I missed stretches and it is hard to go back and find the missing pieces. But here we are. Releasing the 2025 with elevated moments.

Tobia! So many great things. Truly. They all can’t be good so I understand how sometimes our year can be marred by certain instances and situations. My dad had a stroke so that really threw a wrench into my plans to go camping this summer with the kids. But, we made it work, regardless.
For me, ten elevating moments were:
1. NYC trip with my kids in November
2. Tasting wine in France
3. Sitting on a beach in Outer Banks, North Carolina
4. Any time I saw my friends
5. Blogging about life in general
6. Related to blogging: having a supportive community of bloggers
7. Parent-teacher conferences
8. Decorating the Christmas tree
9. Putting myself on skates after a very long time
10. Reading side by side with daughter every night.
I love your ten highlights. Everyone I can feel being special.
And I am sorry about the stroke your dad had. But I am happy you were able to see him – even though it threw of summer plans and was stressful.
Thank you for stopping by and reading my posts. I am hoping I’ll be back more constantly on your blog in 2026.
This was lovely, Tobia. Some very rough moments, but lots of beautiful ones — and so much laughter!
The rough ones are part of life but in the moment they are no fun.
Thank you for stopping by.
What a great year, although with a few sadder moments. I can’t believe you have had such bad sleep, I hope it keeps getting better. I hope this year I can also have a clean desk after months of chaos!
Here s to more clean desks and lees chaos in our heads.
Life has been a bit rough in 2025 but I have high hopes for 2026. Maybe we even get to see each other.
What a great list, Tobia. It’s so worthwhile to think about the – big and small – happy moments that make a year. So wonderful that made some new connections and set some new routines.
It’s so interesting to read as I keep adding throughout the year and some things have already been buried in memory.
