A few weeks back I finished my second 101 things in 1000 days list and wrote a recap on my achievements and struggles with said list. I also announced that I am working on a third 101 things in 1001 days list. Voilá here I am. I have finished putting together another 101 goals. You would think I run out of things to accomplish but no. It is like any creative muscle – the more you do it, the more things you can come up with. I love it because it just tells me I not done living and have places to go, see, explore and stuff to achieve.
For part III I kept most of my categories but added a new one and combined two others. The amounts of goals shifted a bit.
- Adult Things (5 goals)
- Home & Organizational Things (6 goals) – combined category
- Work Things (7 goal)
- Travel & Explore Things (12 goals)
- Bookish Things (9 goals) – new category
- Fun & Random Things (8 goals)
- Blog Things (5 goals)
- Craft & Make Things (10 goals)
- Relationship Things (10 goals)
- Personal Things (8 goals)
- Secret Things (2 goals)
- Health Things (6 goals)
- Mental Health Things (4 goals)
- Kind Things (8 goals)
Read the full 101 things in 1001 day – my personal bucket list part III with goals and if you are interested how this works. I am really excited to start on my 101 goals. I am sure I will loose momentum on the way. I will stick with a regular check-in. Last time I did an annual one but I feel like it’s a bit too far stretch in order to not get side tracked. Melissa is doing check-ins every 100 days but I feel this is too many check-ins. So I think I am going to do check-ins every 200 days. Which means January 23rd, 2026 | August 11th, 2026 | February 27th, 2027 | September 11th, 2027. Of course I will share here on the blog.
Now the big question remains: Who is going to join me? Last time Melissa took the dive. Also, name one goal that would immediately land on your list.

Wow, what a lot of things on your list! Beat your dad at chess, I love that one. Does he usually win? You had a lot of good ones. I’m not going to do this challenge, but I am working on decluttering, which means getting rid of (at least) one item a day for the 2nd half of 2025. Also need to finalize a will/trust. We have a will, but we need a trust as well. Such a boring, but important task.
Haha my dad was actually in a chess club and I think he still is an homoryr member. I learned chess with him when I was very very young. However I never mastered it. When my dad was down with is surgeries last year we played. He also taught my niece and nephew. He play the computer and told me to train so we can play again. So yes I would say ge usually wins. But I was very close once – 1 wrong move otherwise I would have won. He was surprised and then very invested.
I totally get that you will not do this challenge. It’s a lot. It works for me though. The decluttering challenge… wow. I havee tried that but failed miserably.
The will trust things I no walk in the park but yes so important. I need to look at my will again I think I made a mistake in voicing something there so needs to be fixed rather sooner than later.
Egads! I’m always so impressed when you write these out. I don’t think I have 101 things. It’s so impressive that you do it. Good luck on achieving all these goals!
I remember the first time was so so hard. now it’s become rather easy. I think I had Luke 5 spots left that needed to be filled. However I scribbled things down all throughout the last list was active.
I most certain you would come up with 100 things if you really sat down – however it’s not a format for everyone and this might not be yours.
I love your new list, Tobia, and look forward to following along. I have been putting a few things on my ideas list for my next list too.
Partners in crime! Love that you already work on the next one. You still have some time to finish the current one.
Also excited for this new list of mine.
I think a challenge like this would completely overwhelm me! But, when you said, “I love it because it just tells me I not done living and have places to go, see, explore and stuff to achieve”, I thought that was really beautiful and I can see why you do it. I love that you have some fun, light-hearted things on your list. I will be happy to follow along on your journey!
I made an effort to put some easier things on the list this year and not just huge things. It really is a great format for me to make the most of the time I have.
Thank you for following along.
