So one of my favorite month is gone and I have to wait another year for it to come back. And this February was glorious – cold and snow and sunshine. I loved it. But it was also starting with some sore throat during the anniversary trip and ended with me being sick for week. You guys… I am so done with the sick part.
But let’s not dwell on the ugly and annoying stuff and instead curiously look into what fun stuff happened in February. Shall we?
I satisfied my curious mind by
- watching lots of Olympics and learning more about the rules of curling, enjoying the new discipline ski mountaineering, educating myself about different athletes.
- learning about vibe coding in my AI community. I just scratched the surface but there is so much potential here. Not sure I am up for it though.
I satisfied my curious life by
- enjoying my anniversary trip. To the fullest! I did venture out further from the cabin into the woods, we ate at new restaurants and overall had a great time.
- making first contact with my arctic travel buddies through a video call and some whatsapp messages.
- getting ready for the arctic trip.
- starting to understand my new role at the church council. This might be more responsibility and time commitment than I thought but so far I am enjoying it. It is just a lot and life is also a lot so it’s a bit overwhelming.
- finding curious prints in the snow. Raccoon?

Racoon prints is my guess – too lazy to look up.
I satisfied my curious connections by
- meeting up with my best friend and having a belated birthday celebration.
- having a valentines double date with our friends.
- meeting a former colleague for lunch.
- meeting a freelance colleague and my AI coach for an after work drink.
- joining the Engie ‘s CBBC – but only read to chapter 15 so far. Sigh.
- enjoying my AI co-working. So great to have that going for a year now.
I tickled my curious soul by
- spending time doing a puzzle – with the husband which made my soul double happy.
- staring into the fire. Could have done that even more.
- enjoying snow and cold weather.
- taking a look at my plants and seeing the first buds peaking out.
- looking at a lot of junk journaling and feeling like I need to join. Should I?
I curiously continued my health journey by
- incorporating 10 min of core work. Until I was sick again it worked out fine.
- meeting up with my neurologist. Changed my therapy slightly – she was not happy with my migraine days.
- adamantly sticking to my vitamin intake. I did really good here.
- trying to stay on the healthier side during vacation. Quarter successfully maybe? Gained weight but also didn’t eat as much candy as previous trips.
- voluntarily quarantining in order to stay healthy for my trip. Didn’t quite go as planned since I started the quarantine sick.
I was most curious about
- the arctic. I read about survival in cold conditions. About packing lists for arctic climate. About north pole explorers.
I did one new thing
- I told someone that an instagram comment really moved me and that I missed my window of really acknowledging that. I did it in person when I saw her. And this person was just awesome about it and appreciated it. I think I need to make an effort to have that person in my life.
- I created an affirmation meditation I can listen to before and during my arctic trip. I made it entirely with AI and I believe it is great.
I managed to check off a few not so curious things
- working. Not as much as I had hoped though with vacationing and being sick. Sigh. Didn’t earn the required minimum this month.
- supporting the husband in his ongoing struggle to save the company by listening and talking through things and giving feedback on decisions and personnel and such.
- deep cleaning Axel the robo-vacuum.
Curiosity is growth. Ask lots of questions.

Never stop learning.

My long winter walk during our anniversary trip.
I will tickle my curious mind by
…picking up books again – not one read in February.
…and lear about a new ethnicity.
I will tickle my curious life by
…doing an artic expedition.
I will tickle curious connections by
…sending out some snail mail.
…going to a stand-up comedy club with my sister and her bfriend (this sounds wrong since he is the father of her child but I hate the word partner…)
I will curiously continue my health journey by
…stopping at the piercing studio to change the piercings to the final jewelry.
…by taking some time to think about what my next goals and aspirations are now that the arctic is over.
I will tickle my curious soul by
…allowing myself to days after the arctic trip to get back to civilization and really have the experience settle in.
…embracing spring with all its greatness.
…ending the month with a vacation with the husband – at home.
I am going to be curious about
…stars, the universe, astrology.
I will commit to the following not so curious things
…checking if my funding for the crisis communication went through. It’s been two months and I advent heard back. Hopefully paperwork is all fine.
…continuing to support the husband best I can. It is tough though. It’s a week by wee thing these days.
…doing some spring cleaning. The storage room needs some TLC, the terrace needs to get taken care of, the office is a disaster and my closet needs a good look at. This won’t happen all but I’d like to get a start at it.
…meeting with my accountant to go through some stuff.
