Juen Fle by like crazy. first lots of work before the vacation and then vacation time – and we all know those days are over too soon. Always! This makes for a feeling of June was not very fruitful in accomplishing dreams and goals. But then everything feels arduous these days. But of course I hunted curious June things. Here we go.
I satisfied my curious mind by
- diving into two different worlds through my books – Mosuo people and Hasidic culture.
- stretching my mind by attending a freelance conference. Didn’t expect much, pleasantly surprised.
- co-working with my friend and joining the AI community call.
- attending an networking event that was reignited.
I satisfied my curious life by
- planting veggies – chards, zucchini, herbs, peas, bean and a few flowers.
- celebrating birthdays – mine and the husbands.
- two week vacation at home – we made the best of it but I would have liked to do more fun stuff but then I was also tired, lazy and the heatwave had me dizzy a few days.
- booking a golf lesson – it was good and frustrating.
I satisfied my curious connections by
- finally meeting up with my best friend in real life – and of course we ran out of time to share everything on our minds.
- met my sister and her little one for my birthday brunch.
- dining with my parents in a Japanese restaurant.
- hosting a a birthday brunch for the husband and my family.
- lots of volunteering church stuff.
I tickled my curious soul by
- sitting in summer rain. Bliss.
- watching a lightning storm for 45 minutes. Amazing spectacle.
- meditating.
- laying in bed with windows wide open and feeling the breeze on my skin.
- smelling my mint and lavender when watering the plants.
- admiring the wildlife on the golf course – the advantage of being there at dawn – foxes, pheasants, deer.
- wearing a temporary tattoo because why not.
I curiously continued my health journey by
- going to the neurologist – all looks good and nothing will change. My vertigo most defiantly a new symptom of migraines.
- using my water drinking. Better than before but let’s continue.
- trying some more classes on apple fitness but not as consistently then I had hoped for.
I was most curious about
- Mosuo people in China.
I did one new thing
- played nine holes on the big golf course.
- did my first ever 20 min instructed bike ride – outdoor not indoor though.
- seeing my first ball-lightning – I think. Not sure.
I managed to check off a few not so curious things
- Sold 4 things on eBay and have listed 20 things
- tidying my office – doesn’t look like it three weeks later. Sigh.
- washing outdoor poof covers.
- washing all blankets.
Curiosity will save your soul.

Birthday flowers from my sister.
I have been thinking the entire day about my goals and intentions for July. And to be honest I dinÄ’t feel like setting lots of them. I feel like it’s a failure if I write that down knowing deep down I just don’t have much energy to tackle it all. So I think I am taking a bit of summer break with my goals and not overwhelm myself.
