And here we are. At the brink of the last month of 2025. Only 31 days until this year is over. What is the strategy now… cramming everything that I wanted to happen this year in the last days or take a step back and let it be? I am no sure yet so lets sort my thoughts but before here is what elevating happiness in November looked like.
How I incorporated my word ELEVATE in November
I elevated my soul by
- a weekend at the country home all by myself.
- evening walks with the husband or solo.
- laughing.
- the first snow of the season.
- sitting by the fire.
- receiving my first Christmas card (thanks Julie).
I elevated my creativity by
- writing 30 blog posts.
- creating an advent wreath for my mom.
- printed my Christmas Cards I designed 2 years ago.
I elevated my hobbies by
- I read a few books along so many blog posts.
I elevated my physical appearance and fitness by
- doing yoga ten times average of 35 min each.
- only one Zumba class. Was sick one. Instructor sick the other one.
- doing strength training four times average of 30 min each.
- closing my apple rings three times.
- riding my bike a total of 17,4km.
- walking over 10.000 steps/day on13 days, total of 169.3km and an average of 8,244 daily steps (117.8% of goal).
I elevated my health by
- getting a Covid and Flue shot.
- having another test run by the sleep clinic.
- sticking to my vitamin and magnesium intake. Start vitamin D as well.
- stepping back from exercise (again) when I was feeling another cold coming my way. Sigh.
I elevated my relationships by
- date day with the husband in a nearby town.
- meet my craft friend and making some paper origami boxes.
- a long phone call with my sister. It’s been months we had a talk.
- a long phone call with mom instead of spending the weekend together.
- sending a card to someone who has to face the holidays alone for the first time since her husband passed.
- leaving 330 blog comments.
I elevated my home by
- removing spiderwebs and relocating seven spiders.
- lighting candles.
I elevated my style by
- painting my nails – that’s as fancy as it got.
I elevated my behavior by
- cheering on my husband and celebrating his companies five awards.
- training on Crisis Communication.
- being elected for the church parish council.
So many of my goals – specially in the health and relationship department – fell to the wayside when I felt a cold creeping up again. It was good to cancel everything because it never knocked me out completely but so many things suffered.

Love the tranquility of this shot. And the symmetry obviously.

This was lovely to read, Tobia! I clicked over to see your Christmas cards, and yes, I want one! I will send you an email. I see you got elected to your church council! Congratulations! You left 330 blog comments – that’s amazing! I’m sorry you were sick, but you still achieved a lot during November, elevating yourself and others, including me.
Yes, I was elected. It’s going to be interesting what that will mean. I have no real idea but the team I am working with is young and a couple of the older people who know the ins and outs.
You will get a card for sure. I just need to do it so its not arrive too much after Christmas.
I have missed reading your blog this summer, and am delighted to come today and find all these positive affirmations of the things you’ve done and achieved. It must have felt so good to wrote this post and realise what you achieved in November. Bravo!
Happy to see you again. I am glad you’ve found some nice things to read. I also need to hop over to your space and see how things are in Quebec.
I’m just so very thankful to still be here and able to be back blogging. And we’re just starting winter here, with plenty of snowfall and cold weather.
I love these posts, to see how thoughtful you are about living your life. Paying attention is a large step towards gratitude and happiness, I think.
Yay! You got your card! Ridiculously early I am sure, but I had no idea how long it would take to get to you. I sent yours first, then my Canadian friends, then my US blog friends, and now I’m working on IRL friends and family, hope to finish this week. I love your cards, they are beautiful!
I was so surprised to see your card already. Haven’t read it yet though… that happens after the 24th.
Doing these posts really helps me to have my word of the yea rin focus and readjust throughout the year. Doing it this excessively is only year three or four. I am not planning on stopping.
One Christmas card is set aside for you.
