Today I have a fun little post for you to get into the festive season. Lots of people are decorating already. My dad has baked the first batch of cookies – which I haven’t tried because of my sugar free month – and I crave more whites and reds to wear. I love some fun and festive nails for the season. However I have never been to a nail salon to do my nails (besides my wedding nail). I went to a pedicure once. But other than that it is me and my shaky hands.

Usually I just paint one color. Sometimes I am painting within a color range. And sometimes I want festive nails and I get a bit more creative. I mainly do some fun little polka dots. I had thought I have more photos to share but apparently I am not taking photos of my nails all the time. Who knew.

Doing polka dots is rather easy. You can just use the top of a pin. Different sizes makes different patterns. Sometimes I also tape some washi tape over parts of the nail and then paint. Once dry (!) you can remove the washi tape.

Your turn: What is your favorite nail color? How many nail polishes do you own? Do you regularly get a manicure? Are you sprucing up your nails too and get creative? Which one is your favorite?

I do mine myself too, and loved the polka dot idea! Will try it very soon! Thanks.

What is your favorite brand? Mine is Essie, I think I spot a few of those in your photo?

I do have a lot of Essie too but I am slowly switching to more natural one called gitti. It’s a brand that is taking off and I know the owner through my sister. I love their non stinky nail polish remover.
Let me see you polka dots welchen you tried it.

I love this! I love when people have festive nails. Sadly, I’m not allowed to wear nail polish at work! (I know.) People sometimes do it anyway, but I’m pretty sure if they were fancy and eye-catching like this, i would get busted.

      Oh no fun.
I guess you could do your feet. Being in Florida most time you could show them off.

Your nails look great! I rarely do them because even with gel I chip them in 36 hours, so it hardly seems worth it. I’m jealous of women with good looking nails.

I am too. Don’t believe they look like this even 12 hours later. But every once in a while I make the effort…

I love your polka dot nails, Tobia! What fun! I own zero nail polishes. I used to try painting my nails, but they always looked terrible. I have no talent for it and end up with polish everywhere! I’ve had a few professional manicures, which looked beautiful. If I ever have a special occasion, I’d get a manicure, but I just can’t make myself spend money on it when it only lasts for a few days.

I am the same. The money spent on manicures doesn’t really make sense when they ruined after two days. Special use all the crafting. It’s always struggle.

i get manicures every once in awhile, and I love how my cuticles look then, but the polish usually chips within a day or two. I have some super strong stuff I use at home occasionally that lasts up to a week, which is much better. Now I remember that I have a Christmas party to go to in a couple of weeks, maybe I should do my nails…

I have to paint my toes before I wear sandals in the summer. I don’t know why, naked toes gross me out. But cute toes are great!

I like painted toenails too, but I give mine a rest during winter. A professional manicure definitely looks much more better, but I’m just too cheap to spend money on something that is gone in a day or two. Hope your Christmas party is fun. Show me your nails when you do them. I’d love to see it.

This is such fun. I have awful nails and never paint them. I think the last time they were painted were for my wedding and that was a professional job.

My nails are awful too. That is why I paint them. They trip away and sprinter and it’s a real disaster. Sometimes I feel painting them, provides it little bit.

I love the green nails! My favorite nail polish currently is blue but we do have quite a selection (at least 10). I usually paint them myself. I am way to impatient to sit for a manicure at the salon – maybe I go every other year?

I have a ton of blue shades of nail polish, but I rarely use them for some reason. But this year, I think my favorite one was the mint colored one and combination. Just such a fun color. I admit I have at least 10 nail polishes probably more to towards 30 I fear.
