It’s winter. It’s mostly gray. And we are still living through lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, a pandemic… I am certain we can use some self-care. Also it’s been a while since I shared one of my scrub recipes here. I decided to create a new one: Homemade Eucalyptus Scrub. You are welcome.

I came up with this wintery scrub when I had to look my killed eucalyptus plant I had on my balcony. Every time I passed the dried eukalyptus twigs they still smelled so good and breaking up the leaves was intensifying it. Sometimes the most fun things are born because you see one thing for a long time.

What you need:

  • 1/2 cup of finely shredded and dried eucalyptus leaves
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 8 tbsp coconut oil oil
  • 4 tbsp jojoba oil

It’s easy peasy to make. All you need to do is add all ingredients in a big bowl and mix until well combined. It should have the texture of pancake dough. Add more sugar if it is too runny.

I use my homemade eucalyptus scrub very regularly. Specially in the winter time I love it. The oils in it keep the skin well hydrated and you don’t need lotion after showering.

The pandemic actually has creating some sort of new habit for me and I spent more time in the bathtub, soaking and reading a book and doing all the spa things I miss so much. And this has become a new routine.

If you are giving this a try feel free to leave a comment or tag me on Instagram. I’d love to see your version.

Happy Sunday
