New Month Resolution :: June Edition

This month is well on its way and I have big plans. Better share them before it’s too late and I feel like I don’t need to try to accomplish them.

2015 goals

Contribution to goal #1

May:
♥ get back to less chocolate, cake and candy and trying to catch up on the weight thing. I am a bit disappointed with myself after such a strong start. Not happy with myself at all.
♥ I know I need exercise… Maybe I’ll start one of those challenges because that might do the trick. Of course I didn’t start. However I wrote my bike twice. Baby steps…

June:
♥ Back to basics. Less candy, cake and sugar. Maybe less carbs at night.

Contribution to goal #2

May:
♥ There is always room to improve… And there still is…

June:
♥ I will work on it.

Contribution to goal #3

May:
♥ I planned on cleaning all the kitchen cupboards. But I am scared to actually mention it here. I am still trying to do Februar… I am just not the traditional neat housewife. I hate cleaning and tying up… What a waste of time. Well of course I didn’t start this. I have an image to keep by now… I did clean two more windows though.

June:
♥ I admitted to myself I hate cleaning. I hate doing the work but love the result. And I hate my bitching about it and being all grumpy. So I seriously considering a maid. This I my months goal. Find cleaning aid! It started yesterday trying out one service. And when the everyday chores don’t get in the way I might actually get some deep cleaning and decluttering done. I hope all works out how I plan and we live a cleaner life with less stressing.

Contribution to goal #4

May:
Ah lets skip this…

June:
♥ I will bake three new cakes this month at least. So I catch up big time. I also want to get back to cooking more. Maybe I will get to it.

Contribution to goal #5

being realistic, not gonna make it this month

Contribution to goal #6

May:
♥ skipping or maybe not who knows I started a new book

June:
♥ keep reading this new book.
♥ I got a great book (The creative habit, by Twylar Tharp) for my birthday which will definitely be read this month.

Contribution to goal #7

May:
♥ I can only think of one birthday… 1 card it is! Ups I missed the birthday card here but wrote three birthday invites so I figured it counts.

June:
♥ I think it’s only hubby’s bday and I rather bake a cake than write a card. I know, I know pushing hard screwing up on goal #1.

Contribution to goal #8

May:
♥ keep going and tackle this technical-blog-to-do list didn’t really find the time and mood to do so.
♥ comment on more blogs I try but it’s hard and I recently feel nothing’s coming back
♥ maybe write a few more posts… who knows mhm I might have. I definitely had plans.

June:
♥ It’s blogtacular month so it’s my ultimate blogging month. It may not show on the blog but I will meet friends, make friends, be inspired, be scared and overwhelmed, find new motivation and discover new ways. I am sure in the long run this blog will see it.

Contribution to goal #9

May:
♥ Trying to put my creative energy in some home improving. I build a shelf, worked on some craft lab improvement, made some candles (post to follow), and finally used my not so new tool: the Dremel.

June:
♥ Maybe get around to do some fabric printing or sewing?!

As always looking forward how you’ll did on your list and what you’ve planned for the next months. Join Elisa and I and add your list!

Happy goal catching,

Tobia

New Month Resolution :: May Edition

Hey y’all,

pff this month was weird. With Easter and a trip to London I felt like  I wasn’t home that much and then I got sick and was all home. Hubby got sick too and we suddenly spend five full days together. So due to this sickness I managed a few things on my list (like last day…)

2015 goals

Contribution to goal #1

April:
♥ my year goal plan tells 2 kg in April. Adding the goal from March I need to loose 5 kg this month. A bit unrealistic I know. Specially with Easter around the corner and a vacation weekend in London. Feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. But I keep trying.
Let’s just say 😢.

♥ This “walking more” thing seems to be the only thing working for me right now. So I keep doing that as much as possible and now that the weather gets better I might increase my daily steps. I also want to do something about this really bad and annoying back pain. I will give the Thera band a chance.
Thanks to a trip to London I have some high high walking peaks. But then being sick and staying home… I did use the Thera Band a couple times.

May:
♥ get back to less chocolate, cake and candy and trying to catch up on the weight thing. I am a bit disappointed with myself after such a strong start.
♥ I know I need exercise… Maybe I’ll start one of those challenges because that might do the trick.

Contribution to goal #2

April:
♥ keep going

May:
♥ There is always room to improve…

Contribution to goal #3

April:
♥ I will clean the insides of the bathroom drawers and shelfs. Oh that means jewelry and make up… Oh no!
I did clean one but not the big one. Boo me.

♥ finish the February goal.
What now?!

♥ Cleaning the windows. (And just when I did it’s probably raining like the last couple years…)
I at least cleaned the one with winter decorations. That’s 1/7. Yeah me – not… (By the way 10 hours later – rain…)

May:
♥ I planned on cleaning all the kitchen cupboards. But I am scared to actually mention it here. I am still trying to do Februar… I am just not the traditional neat housewife. I hate cleaning and tying up… What a waste of time.

Contribution to goal #4

April:
♥ I just realized I need to do 2-3 recipes a months to finish this challenge… So I better get going.
I guess it’s more now.

May:
Ah lets skip this…

Contribution to goal #5

being realistic, not gonna make it this month

Contribution to goal #6

Another April skip-a-do
Ha not really. I ditched this boring book I read and got a recommended book for just 0,49€ and had to buy it. It was a trilogy and I ended up reading the whole All Souls series. It was great.

May:
♥ skipping or maybe no who knows

Contribution to goal #7

April:
♥ 3 Birthdays coming up.
I wrote 2 cards, was too late for the third one.

May:
♥ I can only think of one birthday… 1 card it is!

Contribution to goal #8

April:
♥ Always planned April and May to be my blogging month and to get things going for the Blogtacular conference. So I will try to get this CSS thing figured out, read more blogs, comment more, clean up my space…

I updated everything in the back end, tried to get back to blog reading and commenting. Had a sneak at CSS and hubby agreed to help a bit. So on my way.
Edit: Yesterday I changed a bunch of stuff – can you tell?!

May:
♥ keep going and tackle this technical-blog-to-do list
♥ comment on more blogs
♥ maybe write a few more posts… who knows

Contribution to goal #9

April:
♥ sew the dress and the blouse and I also need to shorten some curtains.
I’ve sewn the dress for my godchild and gave it to her for her second birthday. I finished my blouse the last day and also trimmed the curtain. Big yeah yeah!!!

♥ I participate in Fee’s ABC photo challenge on Instagram and that should spark some creativity.
I started out strong but then being in London kinda stopped me. Weirded huh. You could still Tobia @ instagram.

May:
♥ Trying to put my creative energy in some home improving.

As always what a long list. Hope I keep up. Bt now lets visit Elisa and have a sneak at the other lovely people who are up for the challenge…

Happy goal catching

Tobia

New Month Resolution :: April Edition

Hey it’s April!

I will not go rambling about how time flies and stuff like this. I only say this much: don’t you sometimes wish the feel of time you had as a kid. When time between lunch and grandmas afternoon treat (read: ice cream, cake, pudding,…) took foreeever?! I sure do.

2015 goals

March was slow and full and hectic. I constantly felt tired, demotivated and just bla. So let’s see if I actually did manage some of my goals as it sure doesn’t seem like it.

Contribution to goal #1

March:
♥ Loosing the next 2 kg
♥ Find some sort of exercise and get moving
Oh my I start this review with a big boohoo. I didn’t loose any weight. I didn’t do any exercise.

April:
♥ my year goal plan tells 2 kg in April. Adding the goal from March I need to loose 5 kg this month. A bit unrealistic I know. Specially with Easter around the corner and a vacation weekend in London. Feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. But I keep trying.
♥ This “walking more” thing seems to be the only thing working for me right now. So I keep doing that as much as possible and now that the weather gets better I might increase my daily steps. I also want to do something about this really bad and annoying back pain. I will give the Terra band a chance.

Contribution to goal #2

March:
♥ Lets not bitch around in March
I feel like I was better.

April:
♥ keep going

Contribution to goal #3

March:
♥ Catch up on February’s task
Well let’s say I tried catching up last day of the month. I cleaned out two drawers. Another one left and I need to go through my shoes.

♥ Clean up Inbox of email accounts
This one was pretty successful. Every newsletter coming in I unsubscribed and I could feel it in an instant. Less emails. And the other day I deleted 300 emails. Feels good.

Not part of my March goals but I cleaned (a lot) in my craft room. My desk has been (more or less) empty for a couple weeks now. It feels great. It’s still a mess but I see a silver lining.

April:
♥ I will clean the insides of the bathroom drawers and shelfs. Oh that means jewelry and make up… Oh no!
♥ finish the February goal.
♥ Cleaning the windows. (And just when I did it’s probably raining like the last couple years…)

Contribution to goal #4

March:
♥ Cook one recipe from one of my books
Finally one thing I completed. I made a Bolognese Sauce from scratch and tried a new waffle recipe. So two books. Only 25 to go.

April:
♥ I just realized I need to do 2-3 recipes a months to finish this challenge… So I better get going.

Contribution to goal #5

March:
♥ Have spring items enter the shop. Again tons of ideas. Make them happen! Just HaHaHa half finish project on my desk at the moment…

skipping April on this one…

Contribution to goal #6

March:
♥ Finish that book and start a classic. I am thinking Wizard of Oz. Dracula is more a winter book… I am also open for suggestions in classic books one has to have read… Mmhm seems like the current bis is reaaaally boring as I maybe read like 10 pages. I might ditch it.

Another April skip-a-do

Contribution to goal #7

March:
♥ Continue
None written. Missed a birthday but because I saw the person two days prior.

April:
♥ 3 Birthdays coming up.

Contribution to goal #8

April:
♥ Always planned April and May to be my blogging month and to get things going for the Blogtacular conference. So I will try to get this CSS thing figured out, read more blogs, comment more, clean up my space…

Contribution to goal #9

March:
♥ Just walk around with open eyes and an open mind.
I tried but I do not think I was so attentive. However I did cut two patterns – a dress for my godchild and a summer blouse for myself.

April:
♥ sew the dress and the blouse and I also need to shorten some curtains.
♥ I participate in Fee’s ABC photo challenge on Instagram and that should spark some creativity.

Well, long list again and again I think I might have overloaded myself but you gotta have goals right? Hop over to Elisa to see how other people are doing.

Happy goal rocking,

Tobia

New Month Resolutions :: March Edition

Hey everyone,

so we start into months #3 in this year of 2015.

After showing off big time in January I am all the more humble in February. Wonder why?

2015 goals

Have a look and review last months resolutions:

Contribution to goal #1

February:

♥ Keep on walking parts of my way home
I kept doing that but not as good as in January. Need to pick it up and make it a habit.
♥ Loosing 2 kg of weight
I did not counting the grams I am over my goal weight but overall its going down.
♥ Exercising by dancing at least once a week
Big HAHA on that part! Really not once.

March:

♥ Loosing the next 2 kg
♥ Find some sort of exercise and get moving

Contribution to goal #2

March:

♥ Lets not bitch around in March

Contribution to goal #3

February:

♥ After the bedroom I will move to the hallway, clean out shoes and my “junk drawer”, reorganize and hopefully get rid of stuff.
Unfortunately I failed this one. Didn’t move a tiny bone to get it done.

March:

♥ Catch up on February’s task
♥ Clean up Inbox of Emailaccounts

Contribution to goal #4

March:

♥ Cook one recipe from one of my books

 Contribution to goal #5

February:

♥ Add a few more items to the shop. Some are half done so just get down to it.
I did add three items to the shop. However not the ones I had in mind.

March:

♥ Have spring items enter the shop. Again tons of ideas. Make them happen!

Contribution to goal #6

February:

♥ keep on reading. In January I read 4 books, 3 being a classic. I will read at least one in February. Thinking Dracula or the Wizard of Oz.
I started a book but haven’t finished yet. It’s a big one.

March:

♥ Finish that book and start a classic. I am thinking Wizard of Oz. Dracula is more a winter book… I am also open for suggestions in classic books one has to have read…

Contribution to goal #7

February:

♥ A few birthdays coming up in February and they will get a card!
I wrote 3 cards this month. Plus I send off all the invitations for my Grandpa’s 90th B-Day. So already I’ve sent more than all last year.

March:

♥ Continue

Contribution to goal #8

I booked a ticket to Blogtacular conference in London on June 13th. Basically an early B-day present to myself. I’ll be going with Elisa. Oh and I also created an Instagram account. You know, peer pressure…

Contribution to goal #9

February:

I was lucky to have a sketch note workshop with Fr. Hölle paid by my boss. Ever since I am sketching daily. If you want to see, check my Instagram

March:

♥ Just walk around with open eyes and an open mind.

Well, that is my big list for Month #3. Now check out the roundup Elisa is organizing and click through to all the ambitious people.

Happy goal reaching, Tobia

New Month Resolutions :: February Edition

Hey there,

are you ready to set some new month resolution for February? I’ve big plans but lets have a look at my January list first and see how I did.

new month resolution

#1 I will loose 3 kg of my current weight!
→ I really did make this one. Quite proud. Without planning I passed on every candy, cake and chocolate coming my way – except dad’s birthday.

#2 I will be walking parts of my commute bus ride home at least once a week.
→ I did walk parts every week however I thought I would be walking more.

#3 I will declutter my closet and move only wearable clothes into my new wall closet.
→ yep, done! Threw out lots of stuff, donated one ikea bag and another one is ready to get sold.

#4 I will clean stuff in the apartment twice a week for 30 minutes right when coming home.
→ *ggrrrr* really didn’t do it once even though I felt like I only clean and put things away…

#5 I will start sewing myself a purse or start knitting the hat.
→ done. See result here.

#6 I will bite my tongue and not be bitchy.
→ mhm I really don’t know. I feel like I wasn’t so grumpy but I still can name a few stations where I could have been nicer…

So let’s seen what I will do in February:
